The Ministries of Health and Interior have reported 2,145 newly registered coronavirus cases within the last 24 hours (as of 9:30 a.m. today). The states reported these numbers to the national crisis team.
10,961 people have died as a result of coronavirus so far. Currently, 864 people are in hospital treatment due to the coronavirus, 227 of them in intensive care units.
7-day incidence at 133
According to the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), the 7-day incidence, i.e. the number of new infections with the coronavirus in the past seven days per 100,000 inhabitants, is 133.0 (as of yesterday, 2 p.m.).
The number is highest in Upper Austria (179) and Vienna (174.7). The lowest figure is in Burgenland (72.6) and Tyrol (86.3).
The AGES reporting scheme shows the figures from the previous day – like the ministries’ reporting. Significant difference to the ministry reports: Laboratory-confirmed cases, deaths, etc. are not shown at the time of reporting, but at the date of diagnosis or death. In the presentation in ORF.at, it is also made transparent on a daily basis to which days the newly reported cases are assigned.
